The Hungarian Circus and Variety Ltd. (MACIVA) with its services plays an important part in cultural life. It is one of the oldest cultural establishments of Hungary ( built in 1954), well known all around the world. The company compiles the international programs of the Hungarian State Circus as well as the international representation of Hungarian circus art.
 
MACIVA works with significant support with central budget, its owner is the Ministry of Education and Culture.
 
Maciva employs 130 people nowadays, who work in the following four units:
1,the Capital Circus of Budapest
2,the Art Yard(rehearsal hall,animal houses etc.)
3,Art Service Yard(technical outfits,chappitos, caravans etc.)
4,MACIVA central office
We also employ about 40 artists. Our artist, when they are not on the road, practice in the rehearsal halls and get ready to conquer the audience again and again.
