It is a privilege for me to welcome you for the sixth time on behalf of the Organizing Committee of the Budapest International Circus Festival on the occasion of this dignified event. The festival was organized 10 years ago, in 1996 for the first time and further and further international musters took place every two years.

We are proud that the Budapest International Circus Festival has achieved prestige it has become known and recognized not only in Europe but also in the world. Unfortunately we have not been able to fulfill our promise that we can celebrate the sixth festival in the renovated Budapest Great Circus but we hope that next year the politicians dealing with culture will consider and support that the Hungarian Circus Art is part of the European culture. The audience who love the circus has already done it because more than 300 000 spectators visit our programs every year. We hope that the noble competition of the personages of the acrobats' art will provide you lasting experience. Discover the beauty of the circus in order to look at the performers of the extremely complex and very hard art of circus with respect. I wish all our Hungarian and foreign guests unforgettable relaxation and very good time.
